Busy, busy, busy….

I have been really busy lately.  Way too busy to keep up with blogs and all that, but I promise when things settle down and the kids go back to school next week I will be back with some regular posts.

For now I am going to give you my review of Twilight!

I LOVED it!  It had it’s cheesy moments, but most of them were with the school friends who were, to be honest, just not good actors.  I also didn’t care for the Quilleute boys that they introduced and I hope they step it up in New Moon since they play a bigger part in that one.  I think that they did well with the budget that they had really.  I wish they hadn’t rushed it, the timeline was all screwed up, but I understand that they had to do that to fit it all in.  I just LOVE Edward and I think that Rob did an excellent job.  I didn’t care for Nikki as Rosalie, but all the others were great.  There is some controversy about Jasper looking too pained in all his scenes…DUH, he is in pain, he is trying to resist killing Bella!  I didn’t care for the tree hopping and how they did the “meadow” scene (as far as it being up high above the cloud line or whatever), but I did like the scene.  Does that make sense?  Maybe it was just the effect of the “flying” that I didn’t like.  I LOVED the baseball scene…Alice was beautiful with her ballet style pitching.  I am looking forward to seeing more of that in the extra’s on the DVD.  They also played Rob’s other song in the movie and I thought it was better than the one on the CD.  The kiss was awesome…no need to say more!  I loved Charlie, he was hot!  I also think that they portrayed their relationship as being closer than I thought it was in the book, at least in the beginning.  Anyway, I loved the movie and hopefully I will be able to go see it again here in the next week or so.

Happy Birthday to Colton!

He is 6 years old today!  I didn’t get a really good picture of him, it was too dark in the living room and I just ended up with a lot of shadows, but here is one of him in the middle of all the loot playing with his new V-Smile Cyber Pocket.  I wanted to get him a DS, but Bailey has one that he plays with and we have a lot of V-Smile games and the pocket that we have has a short where the AC adaptor plugs in.  This one is cool though, it has a touch screen with a styles kind of like the DS.  He also got his PJ’s that I made, new shoes, a pair of jeans, 2 shirts, 2 books, a new V-Smile game and a PS 2 game with 4 controllers that is really for all the kids.

Bailey turned 9 on Wednesday and I meant to post, but it was a busy day!

She ended up with her PJ’s, new shoes, tights, socks, a new dress from Hannah Andersson (that we have yet to receive via FedEx, I am NOT happy about it being so late), the LPS Bat that I had to order off e-bay, an LPS activity set, book marks, and a sewing machine.  I think that was all she got.  Her sleep-over is tonight.  I am excited about that because it’s kind of an adult sleep-over too!  We are making pizzas, and I got these little boxes for all the girls to decorate.  I am making Cinnabon Cinnamon rolls for breakfast in the morning and I need to make her cookie cake today too.

I don’t know why it took me so long, but I finally started watching the first season on Sliders last night.  I watched the whole 1st disc, I am really enjoying it, it’s different that what I was expecting.  I am enjoying Jerry O’Connell circa 1995!!

Long time, no post!

I really need to get in a blogging habit, but I have just been SO busy lately.  This kids birthdays are all in the next 10 days.  Bailey’s is tomorrow, we are done shopping for her, but we need to go get cupcakes for her class still.  Colton’s is Thursday and we are still not done shopping for him yet.  I did just finish his pajamas though, so that’s good.  I have Dillon’s all cut out and ready to start sewing, but I think I will wait a few days to work on them.  I have to get the house ready for a sleep-over on Friday.

Bailey’s were actually easier to make, I was surprised.  I did get to use the auto buttonholer on my new machine and I LOVE it.

I finished this bag yesterday and I LOVE it.  This one is all mine.  There were a few kinks in the pattern that I had to work out before I can make one to sell.  I think I may have it all worked out though, we shall see how the next one goes.

This one is made from heavier fabric, the decorator type, kind of a printed canvas, so it’s much sturdier.

I am working on a pattern for a DSLR camera bag with lots of pockets and room for lenses and stuff.  I sketched it all out last night and worked on the dimensions and all that.  The next step is to work on a sample bag, I need to pull out some old fabric to experiment on, I don’t want to ruin anything good trying to get the pattern right!  I am hoping all goes well with these, I think they will sell good…we’ll see.

Well, I need to hop in the shower so I can get ready to go to town and get birthday party stuff…
